Day 1
The Artistic Temples of Chiang Rai
After your 8:00 AM pick-up, your journey to Chiang Rai becomes a plunge into an open-air art gallery. Cross the bridge to rebirth at the surreal Wat Rong Khun (White Temple), ascend to the heavens at Wat Huay Pla Kang to meet the giant Goddess of Mercy, and finally, let the deep sapphire hues of Wat Rong Suea Ten (Blue Temple) envelop you. Dinner and overnight at the Sann Hotel.
Day 2
Golden Triangle and Mekong River
After breakfast, history calls you to the mythical Golden Triangle. Stand at the mythic crossroads of three nations, feeling the history that surrounds you where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar almost touch. Embark on the mighty Mekong and feel the currents of history as you observe life flowing on the different banks. In the afternoon, the House of Opium will reveal the secrets and complex history of the trade that shaped this unique region. Return to Chiang Mai at the end of the day.
